Trekking
The beautiful hills and valleys of Darjeeling serve as an ideal place for trekking. Started almost a century ago trekking in Darjeeling now draws thousands of trek enthusiasts every year from India and abroad. Most popular treks of Darjeeling include Tiger Hill Trek, the Singalila Trek, Neora Valley National Park Trek. Experiencing the spectacular sights of lofty mountains like Everest, Kanchendozonga, Chamlang, Makalu and some other peaks makes your trekking expedition a lifetime experience.

Water Skiing
The state of West Bengal offers excellent facilities for water skiing, mainly at Digha, Bakkhali Beach, Sagardwip beach etc. Tourists can enjoy various water sports, adventure sports and sea activities at Digha beach. A place called Tajpur near Digha is being developed as a major adventure-tourism spot offering a host of sports activities like water-skiing, para-sailing, water zorbing, snorkelling etc.

Mountain Biking
Mountain Biking is another adventure sport which is becoming very popular. The hills around Darjeeling are most frequented by the mountain bikers. These hills of various heights and altitudes are much preferred by the mountain bikers. Many mountain biking expeditions are organized by the clubs and mountaineering institutes. The West Bengal hills are among their favorites. Darjeeling, Mirik, Mongpu, Kalimpong etc are their favourite destinations.

Rock Climbing
Rock climbing is a relatively new sport for some to challenge their spirits and explore new heights. Areas around Dooars and Darjeeling are popular for rock climbing. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Norgay Climbing Club are some of the pioneering rock climbing institutes of north Bengal. The Murti river and the rocks on its banks and Samsing Rocky Island are some ideal places for adventure activities like rock climbing.  
After the Darjeeling hills, Shushunia is the most popular centre for rock-climbing in West Bengal.  

Yachting
Yachting is another water sports activity around Dooars. Apart from this, Haldia is a growing centre for yachting and other water sports. Haldia is a port on the Bay of Bengal and is a few hours drive from Kolkata. Yachting and Wind Sailing also take place on the Hugli river.

River Rafting
If you are more enthusiastic about the thrills of untamed waters, then go for some rafting or kayaking experience in Teesta River. White Water Rafting is an adventure hill sport, which is relatively new in the Darjeeling Hills having introduced in 1991. Since then the sport has gained immense popularity all over the region. The icy cold roaring water of Teesta and Rangit River extend a challenging invitation for a unique rafting adventure.
Parasailing.  Parasailing seems to be the buzzword nowadays. Now you can enjoy parasailing on the beaches in and around Digha. Tajpur sea beach is one where you can do parasailing.

Car Rally
Car rallies in West Bengal are fast gaining popularity. The vintage car rally arranged in Kolkata by “The Statesman” has gained immense popularity in the last few years. The entire environment turns into that of a carnival during this time. During the car rallies adventure enthusiasts from all over the country flock the city to participate in the rally. You can get a glimpse of some of the very rare, collector cars that are not only for display but also function fully in the rally. Many of the car rallies have a social message to convey through the journey.
